To do beer and business a bit DIFFERENTLY.
To build a community by serving the best beer hops, yeast and barley can produce.
To bring amazing craft ales to beer drinkers everywhere, even out-of-the-way places.
To Create jobs in rural communities.
To partner with other local businesses, preserving and strengthening small towns.
To serve as an outlet for a love of rural America, family, local business, brewing, and delicious beer.
Our young brewery, Revelation Ale Works, is an ultra-rural craft brewery, focused on doing beer and business a bit differently. Founded in 2017 in Hallock, MN, a town of 981 people, the revelation that craft beer can build communities is what drives us, co-owners Ryan, Josh, and Lindsey Evenson and our team of Revelators. This family-friendly taproom has a constant rotation of 10 taps plus a couple more for craft soda in the completely remodeled historic Johnson Standard building in the heart of downtown Hallock, MN. We’re beyond excited to serve you by bringing great brews and community-minded business to rural Minnesota.
After home-brewers, Ryan and his wife Lindsey, hummed and hawed for several years over opening a brewery, Ryan's brother, Josh, and his wife, Ashley, came along and pushed them over the edge in autumn of 2015. The revelation came when the idea of serving people in meaningful ways could be the main aim of craft brewing. Plus, they'd get to brew more beer! It's a REVELATION!
With a hop farm in its early stages already established in Hallock, MN, we purchased the crumbling Standard Station building in 2015 and began remodeling to accommodate a 7 barrel brewing system and a taproom.
After more than a year of labor, we got all our operating licenses and began brewing in early 2016. Josh became the brewer, Ryan the president, and Lindsey the operations manager. And the doors opened on February 2016.
Since then, we’ve been able to:
*self-distribute our ultra-rural beer to over 90 location in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Canada,
*employ 15 people,
*purchase another building to brew in on the main drag in Hallock,
*and drink a lot of beer!
Hallock went from 8 vacant buildings to zero, so thank you!
When you choose to have a Revelation, it makes a noticeable impact in the sustainability of and quality of life in our ultra-rural community!
